The Brattle Group is an economic consulting firm established in 1995. With more than 500 consultants staffed in fourteen offices across the globe, we provide clients expert testimony and support in economics, finance, and regulation across the US, Canada, Europe, and the Pacific Rim. We are distinguished by the clarity of our insights and the credibility of our experts, which include leading international academics and industry specialists. We pride ourselves on cultivating lasting client relationships built on trust and mutual respect.
Our practice has three primary areas of focus: damages arising from environmental contamination; consumer perceptions of green marketing claims; and clean energy and sustainability. To the first point, we are experienced in conducting economic analysis of damages related to air and water contamination, both for natural resource damages assessments as well as private class actions. For the second, in collaboration with our consumer protection practice, we have considered the role of survey evidence in evaluating “greenwashing” claims. Lastly, we also work on issues related to sustainability and clean energy, notably the move toward electrification and the impacts of ESG initiatives on different industries. On these projects, we often work in conjunction with the firm’s broader spectrum of knowledge in energy, finance, and regulatory consulting.
